She received her AMI Degree at Montessori Northwest (MNW) in 2007 and earned her M.Ed in Montessori education at Loyola University in 2010. Carly and her husband served in the Peace Corps in Zambia, where she gave support in a village public school and worked with local teachers to create a more child-centered classroom environment. After Peace Corps, Carly and her husband moved back to Portland, started a family, and decided to put down roots in Forest Grove, Oregon. Her daughter and son have gone through Montessori.
